For the full sum assured:

Loss of functionality
• Loss of independent existence
• Permanent blindness#
• Permanent loss of speech

Major cardiovascular disease
• Aortic surgery#
• Coronary artery bypass surgery#
• Heart valve surgery
• Out-of-hospital cardiac arrest
• Pulmonary hypertension
Major neurological disease (other than stroke)

^ For these conditions, a partial payment of 10% of the sum assured, to a maximum of $20,000, is payable. The Living Assurance sum assured will be reduced by the amount of the benefit paid.
